Mark Downey
Mark Downey (born 3 July 1996) is an Irish road and track cyclist, who currently rides for French amateur team Côtes d'Armor–Marie Morin–Véranda Rideau. As a junior he competed at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships in the Men's junior time trial and also at the 2015 UCI Road World Championships in the Men's junior time trial. On the track he competed at the 2015 UEC European Track Championships in the points race and team pursuit. He won the gold medal at the 2016–17 UCI Track Cycling World Cup, Round 2 in Apeldoorn in the points race. He also won the third round of the World Cup points race held in Cali, Colombia following that event he picked up a silver in the madison with his teammate Felix English. Concluding his 2017 World Cup campaign Downey won the madison in LA round 4 and was overall series winner in the points race. Dromore, County Down
Dromore () is a small market town and civil parish in County Down, Northern Ireland. It lies within the local government district of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon. It is southwest of Belfast, on the A1 Belfast–Dublin road. The 2011 Census recorded a population of 6,003. The town's centre is Market Square, which has a rare set of stocks. It is in the old linen manufacturing district. Felix English
Felix English (born 11 October 1992) is a professional cyclist from Brighton who rides for Ireland. English rides on the road and on the track. As a junior, he won five British national titles until he decided in 2010 to represent Ireland, the home country of his parents. In September 2010, he set a new Irish Junior record during a track meeting in Apeldoorn, 1:07.9 over 1000 metres. At the 2010 UEC European Track Championships, English surprisingly defeated Sir Chris Hoy in the first round of the sprint event.
