Mark Divo
Mark Divo (born 1966) is a Swiss-Luxembourgish conceptual artist and curator who organizes large-scale interactive art projects incorporating the work of underground artists. His work involves painting, performance, photography, sculpture, and installation. Career Between 1988 and 1989 Divo worked in West Berlin. After the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989, he moved to East Berlin, where he organized exhibitions at the Kunst Haus Tacheles. Between 1990 – 1994 he organized exhibitions, performances, and murals with the Duncker group. In 1994 he moved back to Zurich where he created a number of murals and organised a group of travelling mural painters. There he organised a number of underground art projects funded by the Swiss government, including exhibitions / events in the subways of Escherwyssplatz. Dan Jones (artist)
Daniel Elwyn Jones , known as Dan Jones, is a British artist, collector of children's playground songs and human rights campaigner. He is an education advisor for the human rights organisation Amnesty International. Amnesty International Jones is one of Amnesty International's longest-term supporters, having assisted Peter Benenson and his father, Elwyn Jones, to help launch Amnesty in 1961 which at the time they believed to be an ambitious one-year campaign. He was awarded an MBE in 2001 for services to international human rights, and was nominated as a local hero and reached the finals of the 14th Pride of Britain Awards. He continues to work for Amnesty. In his current role as an education advisor he visits schools and speaks to students to help educate in the fundamentals of human rights. Cabaret Voltaire (Zurich)
Cabaret Voltaire was the name of a short-lived artistic nightclub in Zürich, Switzerland in 1916 (revived in the 21st century). It was founded by Hugo Ball, with his companion Emmy Hennings, in the back room of Holländische Meierei, Spiegelgasse 1, on February 5, 1916, as a cabaret for artistic and political purposes. Other founding members were Marcel Janco, Richard Huelsenbeck, Tristan Tzara, and Sophie Taeuber-Arp and Jean Arp. Events at the cabaret proved pivotal in the founding of the anarchic art movement known as Dada. In 2013, the Cabaret Voltaire performances were collectively ranked by Dale Eisinger of ''Complex'' as the 25th best work of performance art in history. Kinský Palace ( cs, Palác Kinských, german: Palais Goltz-Kinsky) is a former palace, now an art museum, located on Old Town Square in the Old Town area of Prague, Czech Republic. The palace's name refers to its former ownership by the Kinský noble family. Early history The palace was originally built for the Golz family between 1755 and 1765. As a result, the palace is also known as Golz-Kinský Palace (''Palác Golz-Kinských''). The building was designed by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer and is Rococo in style. The exterior is stucco and is painted in pink and white. There are statues by Ignaz Franz Platzer on the exterior, which are of the classical elements. The ''Wasserkirche'' ("Water Church") of Zürich, first mentioned as ''ecclesia Aquatica Turicensi'' around 1250 and as ''wazzirkilcha'' in 1256, is a church built on a small island in the Limmat, situated between the two main churches of medieval Zürich, the Grossmünster and the Fraumünster, at the Limmatquai and the Münsterbrücke Zürich, Münsterbrücke.
