Mark Brooks (golfer)
Mark David Brooks (born March 25, 1961) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour Champions. Brooks was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he was a three-time All-American as a member of the golf team. He turned professional in 1983. Brooks has seven wins on the PGA Tour, including one major, the 1996 PGA Championship. He was a member of the U.S. Presidents Cup team in 1996. During his thirties, Brooks began a second career in golf course design, and was a partner in the firm of Knott-Linn-Brooks House based in Palo Alto, California. His first major project, Southern Oaks Golf Club outside Fort Worth, opened in 1999. After his 50th birthday in 2011, Brooks joined the Champions Tour. He came close to his first victory in June at the Principal Charity Classic, but bogeys on his final two holes allowed Bob Gilder to win by one shot. Mark Brooks is an American comic book artist. For his cover art, he was awarded the Inkpot Award in 2014. He has produced designs for a line of Marvel figures manufactured by Sideshow Collectibles. Career Brooks' first published work was in 10th Muse, written by Marv Wolfman for Image Comics, in which he penciled the Atlas back-up stories in 2001. His first cover art was a variant for the Atlas #1 one-shot for Avatar Press. His other early work includes Transformers: More Than Meet the Eyes for Dreamwave Productions, G.I Joe vs. the Transformers for Devil's Due Publishing, and Ultraman Tiga for Dark Horse Comics. In 2004, Brooks penciled and provided the cover art for a number of issues of Marvel Age Spider-Man, his first collaboration with Marvel. He then worked on Cable & Deadpool for two issues before moving on to illustrate the first arc of Amazing Fantasy (vol.2) featuring Anya Corazon. Mark Brooks (born May 7, 1970) is an American producer, director, writer and musician known for his work on projects such as ''Metalocalypse'', ''Moonbeam City'' and '' Serenity''. He is a member of the dark electronic pop group Night Club. Early life Brooks was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Using the pseudonym 3 Kord Scissor King, Brooks co-founded and played guitar for the influential punk band Warlock Pinchers while still in high school. The group disbanded in early 1992 when Brooks was 22 During college Brooks co-founded the band Foreskin 500 with Diggie Diamond in the mid-1990s.
