Mark Bice
Mark Bice (born October 10, 1984 in Sarnia, Ontario) is a Canadian curler. He used to skip a team on the World Curling Tour. Career Bice had a fairly successful junior career. Bice is a two time provincial junior champion, winning in 2003 and 2005 and was a provincial schoolboy champion in 2002. In 2003, his rink of Mike Callan, Rob Pruliere and Jeff Wilson finished with a 7-5 record at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships- out of the playoffs. In 2005, they went to the Canadian Juniors again, this time with Codey Maus replacing Callan. The team finished second after the round robin with a 9-3 record. After defeating Ian Fitzner-LeBlanc's Nova Scotia rink in the semi-final, Bice lost in the final match, against Saskatchewan's Kyle George. Sarnia
Sarnia is a city in Lambton County, Ontario, Canada. It had a 2021 population of 72,047, and is the largest city on Lake Huron. Sarnia is located on the eastern bank of the junction between the Upper and Lower Great Lakes where Lake Huron flows into the St. Clair River in the Southwestern Ontario region, which forms the Canada–United States border, directly across from Port Huron, Michigan. Heath McCormick
Heath McCormick (born August 7, 1976) is a Canadian-American curler from Sarnia, Ontario. Career McCormick began curling in 1992 as a junior in Ontario. He competed in the Ontario Junior Curling Championships five times, and won in 1996 playing third for Patrick Ferris. That rink represented Ontario at the 1996 Canadian Junior Curling Championships where they lost in a tie-breaker game to Nova Scotia's Rob Sifton. He also competed in the Ontario's men's provincial championships six times and finished as runner-up in 2003. He was part of the winning team in the 2004 Ontario mixed championship. He lost in the final of the 2004 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship to Shannon Kleibrink of Alberta. In 2010, McCormick returned to the United States after he was recruited by Bill Stopera, Martin Sather, and Dean Gemmell to replace Matt Hames, who was retiring, as skip. Aaron Squires
Aaron John Squires (born November 10, 1992, in Victoria, British Columbia) is a Canadian curler from St. Thomas, Ontario. He formerly played on the World Curling Tour. As a junior curler, Squires and his St. Thomas Curling Club rink of Jason Camm, David Easter and Curtis Easter won the 2013 Pepsi Ontario Junior Curling Championships. The team then represented Ontario at the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where they posted a 7–3 record before losing a tie-breaker match to Manitoba's Matt Dunstone rink. Later in the year, Squires was added to the Jake Higgs rink at the 2013 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials Qualifying Tournament as an alternate. The 2014 Tim Hortons Brier was held from March 1 to 9 at the Interior Savings Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia. Unlike previous years, the winner of the 2014 Brier automatically qualified for the 2015 Brier as Team Canada, similarly to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. 2014 Travelers Tankard
The 2014 Travelers Tankard, southern Ontario's men's provincial curling championship, was held from January 27 to February 2 at the Smiths Falls Community Memorial Centre in Smiths Falls, Ontario. The winning Mark Bice team (skipped by Greg Balsdon) represented Ontario at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops, British Columbia. Teams *Mark Bice skipped the team through the Zone and Regional playdowns, and thus the team was named after him. Greg Balsdon returned to the lineup as Skip for the Provincial Championship after missing 2 months due to injury. The team plays as a 5-man squad regularly during the Tour season. Greg Balsdon
Gregory Balsdon (born October 9, 1977) is a Canadian curler from North York, Ontario. He currently skips a team on the World Curling Tour. Curling career Balsdon was born in Toronto, Ontario. In 1995, Balsdon won the Ontario Schoolboy championship for his Don Mills Collegiate Institute team. In 1996, he won the provincial junior mixed title. Balsdon skips one of the top teams in Ontario. As of 2019, Balsdon has played in 13 provincial championships. He first played at the provincials in 1999, playing for John Base (4th place). He left the Base rink in 2000 to form his own team. He qualified again in 2002 as a skip, again finishing 4th. His next provincial was the 2005 Ontario Kia Cup, where his rink finished 4th once again. Mark Dacey
Mark Dacey (born June 22, 1966) is a Canadian curler originally from Saskatchewan. He was based at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dacey is a former Canadian men's curling champion skip, having won the 2004 Nokia Brier. He defeated Randy Ferbey's team, ending their 3-year Brier winning streak. Dacey went on to win a bronze medal at the 2004 Ford World Curling Championship. Competitive history Mark Dacey was a runner-up in the 1995 Brier, as the vice-skip for team Saskatchewan (skipped by Brad Heidt). Jason Montgomery
Jason Montgomery is a Canadian curler from Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia. Montgomery is a former provincial junior champion. He skipped British Columbia at the 2003 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. His team of Cliff Carr-Hilton, Miles Craig and Will Duggan placed 4th (8-4), and they lost in the tiebreaker game to Alberta. Montgomery skipped the British Columbia team at the 2010 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship. His team which included Sarah Wark, Will Duggan and Nicole Montgomery finished with an 8-3 round robin record, losing in the semi-final to Ontario. The 2010 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship was held Nov. 14-21, 2009 at the Burlington Golf and Country Club in Burlington, Ontario. Nova Scotia won its seventh Mixed title, and Skip (curling), skip Mark Dacey won his second title with then-wife, Heather Smith-Dacey as his Glossary of curling#Mate, mate who won her third. Jeffrey James Grant (born 1958) is a former New Zealand politician of the National Party. He attended Otago Boys' High School, and Lincoln College where he got a Diploma in Agriculture. He represented the Southland electorate of Awarua in Parliament from 1987 to 1993, when he retired, and was replaced by Eric Roy. In 1990 he was appointed the National Party's Chief Whip.
