Mark E. Bell (born August 30, 1957) is a former American football defensive end and tight end who played six seasons in the National Football League (NFL). His twin brother Mike Bell, also played in the NFL and at Colorado State. His son, Blake Bell, was a quarterback who later moved to tight end for the Oklahoma Sooners The Oklahoma Sooners are the athletic teams that represent the University of Oklahoma, located in Norman. Mark Ricardo Bell (born June 14, 1957) is a former American football wide receiver and punt returner who played two seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the St. Louis Cardinals. College career Bell attended Colorado State University, and played four years with the Rams. His standout season was his junior year in 1977, during which he made 40 receptions for 797 yards and nine touchdowns, earning All- WAC team honors. He was one of three Colorado State players with the surname Bell who were selected during the 1979 NFL Draft. Mark Bell (21 June 1960 – 30 January 2009) was an English professional cyclist from Birkenhead. He rode for Britain in the Olympic Games, won the national road championship as an amateur and then a professional and was the first foreigner to win the Étoile de Sud stage race in Belgium. He died at 49 after collapsing at his home in Bebington, Wirral. He had recently recovered from alcoholism. Origins Mark Bell was an early talent. A rival, Neil France, said: "I first met Mark in Barnston dip on the Wirral when I tried to drop him. As a 12-year-old imagine my surprise when the nine-year-old Mark kept up with me!". Mark Dickson Bell (8 February 1881 – 22 October 1961) was a Scottish footballer who played for Heart of Midlothian in the early years of the 20th century, helping them to win the Scottish Cup in 1901, before moving to England where he won Southern League championships with Southampton and Fulham. An outside forward capable of playing on the left or right wing, he won one international cap for Scotland in 1901. Mark Bell (born August 5, 1980) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and a former professional ice hockey forward. Bell was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round (8th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. In the NHL, Bell played for the Blackhawks, San Jose Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Anaheim Ducks. Later in his career, he played in Switzerland and Germany. Playing career Bell started playing hockey at the age of four years, and grew up admiring Wayne Gretzky and Doug Gilmour. He played four seasons in the minor Ontario Hockey League with the Ottawa 67's, and was part of the Memorial Cup championship in 1998–99. Colonel Mark Sever Bell, (15 May 1843 – 26 June 1906) was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Born in the Australian colony of New South Wales, his family travelled to England when he was an infant. He was educated at King's College School and King's College London, where he was made a Fellow in 1890. Bell was 30 years old, and a lieutenant in the Corps of Royal Engineers, British Army during the First Ashanti Expedition when the following deed took place on 4 February 1874 at the Battle of Ordashu, Ashanti (now Ghana) for which he was awarded the VC: He later achieved the rank of colonel.
