Mark Anderson (American Football)
Mark Jay Anderson (born May 26, 1983) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football at Alabama. Anderson also played for the Houston Texans, New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills. Anderson is an uncle to Rodney Anderson, former Oklahoma Sooners and Cincinnati Bengals running back. Early years Anderson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, and was a letterman in football and basketball. He was a teammate in both sports of Robert Meachem and Felix Jones, both players who have played in the NFL. In football, he was an All-Metro selection and was named as a Big 12 Prep pick. Mark Anderson graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 2001. Mark Anderson (born November 23, 1954) was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives and the Arizona Senate The Arizona State Senate is part of the Arizona Legislature, the state legislature of the US state of Arizona. The Senate consists of 30 members each representing an average of 219,859 constituents (2009 figures). Members serve two-year terms w ..., serving two stretches in the House and a single term in the Senate. He was first elected to the House representing District 29 in November 1994, and was re-elected three times, in 1996, 1998, and 2000. Due to Arizona's term limit policy, Anderson could not run for the House again in 2002, so instead ran for the Senate. Due to redistricting, he ran in the new 18th District, and won the Senate seat, where he served from 2003 to 2005. In 2004 he again ran for the House, winning the seat from the 18th District. Leeds International Piano Competition
The Leeds International Piano Competition, informally known as The Leeds and formerly the Leeds International Pianoforte Competition, takes place every three years in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1961 by Marion, Countess of Harewood, Dame Fanny Waterman, and Roslyn Lyons, with the first competition being held in 1963. Waterman was the chair and artistic director up to the 2015 competition when Paul Lewis and Adam Gatehouse became Co-Artistic Directors. The first round of the competition takes place internationally and in 2021 went 'virtual' when 63 pianists were recorded in 17 international locations and the Jury deliberated online, in order to circumvent the various impacts of Covid.
