Marjan Marković
Marjan Marković (; born 28 September 1981) is a Serbian former professional Association football, footballer. Club career Born in Požarevac, Marković took his first football steps with his hometown club FK Mladi Radnik, Mladi Radnik. He was later promoted to the first team and played regularly for the side in the Second League of FR Yugoslavia, attracting the attention of top First League of FR Yugoslavia, First League clubs. Although a childhood FK Partizan, Partizan supporter, Marković decided to accept the offer from Red Star Belgrade in January 2000, signing a five-year contract. He spent the next six seasons with the ''Crveno-beli'' and won six trophies (three league titles and three national cups). In August 2005, Marković signed with Ukrainian club FC Dynamo Kyiv, Dynamo Kyiv. He helped them win Double (association football), the double in the 2006–07 season. Požarevac ( sr-cyr, Пожаревац, ) is a city and the administrative centre of the Braničevo District in eastern Serbia. Serbia National Football Team
The Serbia national football team ( sr, Фудбалска репрезентација Србије, Fudbalska reprezentacija Srbije) represents Serbia in men's international football competition. It is controlled by the Football Association of Serbia, the governing body for football in Serbia. After the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia and its football team in 1992 Serbia was represented (alongside Montenegro) within the new FR Yugoslavia national football team. Serbia And Montenegro Cup
The Serbia and Montenegro Cup was an association football knockout cup tournament of Serbia and Montenegro played between 1992 and 2006, after which Serbia and Montenegro became separate nations. The competition was the continuation of the old Marshal Tito Cup of the SFR Yugoslavia, and it was named FR Yugoslavia Cup between 1992 and 2003, when the official name of the country was Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The 2000–01 First League of FR Yugoslavia was the ninth season of the FR Yugoslavia's top-level football league since its establishment. It was contested by 18 teams, and Red Star Belgrade won the championship. Incidents Eternal derby abandoned The 115th edition of the Eternal derby match between Red Star Belgrade and FK Partizan on Saturday, 14 October 2000 at the Marakana was abandoned after three minutes of play due to fan rioting. The incident began with Partizan fans, Grobari, pelting the pitch with flares at which point the match play got interrupted. The rioting kept escalating with the southern stand seating being torn off by the Grobari and thrown onto the athletic track.
