Marjan al-Katib al-Islami (Persian: Marjan Kateb Islami) a famous female Iranian calligrapher who lived in Safavid Persia under 17th century. She was active in the period around 1670. Mahsa Vahdat (in Persian مهسا وحدت) (born 29 October 1973, Tehran, Iran) is a Persian classical and world music vocalist. Mahsa Vahdat's music style is contemporary expression inspired by old traditional and folk and regional music of Persia/Iran that she developed for many years and it is the result of work with many musicians from Iran and other countries. Marianne de Boer, later known as Marjan Unger (11 February 1946 – 27 June 2018), was a Dutch art historian. She acquired a public reputation as the author of a standard work on Dutch jewelry and as a jewelry collector. Maria Janna "Marjan" Schwegman (born 20 February 1951, Middenmeer) is a Dutch historian who was managing director of the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies from March 2007 to 18 February 2016. Besides that, she is a professor in Politics and Culture in the 20th century at the faculty of Humanities at Utrecht University. From 2003 to 2007 Marjan Schwegman was managing director of the Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome. Marjan Sax (born 26 December 1947) is a Dutch feminist lesbian activist, member of Dolle Mina and co-founder of a number of feminist organisations, ethical bank Mama Cash among them. Sax is also an advisor for charity organisations. Life Sax was born in Amsterdam and studied politics at the University of Amsterdam. She was teamleader at the Open School in the North of Amsterdam from April 1977 to 1981. After that she worked as a researcher at the Foundation ''Vrouw & Media'' from March 1983 until June 1986, where she studied the position of female journalists at Dutch newspaper publishers. Marjan Salahshouri ( fa, مرجان سلحشوری, born 12 October 1996) is an Iranian taekwondo practitioner. She represented Iran at the 2018 Asian Games and claimed a silver medal in the women's poomsae individual event.
