Mariya Vladimirovna Shcherbina ( uk, Марія Володимирівна Щербина, born December 11, 1958) is a Ukrainian mathematician and mathematical physicist who studies the theory of random matrices. She is a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, and the 2009 winner of the Mikhail Vasilyevich Ostrogradsky Prize. Shcherbina earned a diploma from the National University of Kharkiv in 1981, and then did graduate studies at the Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering The B. Mariya Shcherba
Mariya Vyachaslavauna Shcherba ( be, Марыя Вячаславаўна Шчэрба; born 14 April 1985) is a Belarusian swimmer. She competed in the 4×100 m freestyle relay at the 2004 Summer Olympics, but her team did not reach the finals. Her elder sister is the Olympic swimmer Hanna Shcherba. Soon after Hanna moved to France in 2001, Mariya followed her there and competed for the club CS Clichy, Hauts-de-Seine, Clichy 92.Natation
