Club Deportivo Mariscal Miller (sometimes referred as Mariscal Miller) is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Tacna, Tacna, Peru. History The Club Deportivo Mariscal Miller was founded on January 18, 1961. In the 2003 Copa Perú, the club classified to the Regional Stage, but was eliminated by Deportivo Enersur. In the 2004 Copa Perú, the club classified to the Regional Stage, but was eliminated by Juventus Corazón. In the 2006 Copa Perú, the club classified to the Regional Stage, but was eliminated by Total Clean. In the 2009 Copa Perú, the club classified to the Regional Stage, but was eliminated by Unión Minas de Orcopampa. In the 2017 Copa Perú, the club classified to the National Stage, but was eliminated when finished in 40th place. Estadio Jorge Basadre
The Estadio Jorge Basadre, previously known as the Estadio Modelo, is a multi-purpose stadium in Tacna, Peru named after historian Jorge Basadre. It is currently used as a football stadium in the Primera Division Peruana by Coronel Bolognesi. The stadium holds 19,850 people and has 277 individual seats in the western stand, 69 which are for the VIP area. 2017 Copa Perú
The 2017 Peru Cup season ( es, Copa Perú 2017), the largest amateur tournament of Peruvian football, started in February. This edition has featured a change, with the elimination of the Regional Stage and the inclusion of participants from all the Regions of Peru in the National Stage. Under the new format, the tournament has four stages. The first three stages are played as mini-league round-robin tournaments, and the fourth stage is played under POT System intellectual property of the MatchVision company. Total Clean
Total Chalaco was a professional Peruvian football club based in Callao. The club last played in the Peruvian Primera División in 2010. They placed last and were relegated and subsequently dissolved. The club was founded as Total Clean FBC, and played in Arequipa at the Estadio Mariano Melgar. As ''Total Clean'', they won the Copa Perú in 2006 and were promoted to the first division. They were relegated to the second division in 2007 but quickly ascended to the first division for 2009. The club was in a large amount of debt and sold 51% of the club to the vice-president of Atlético Chalaco. The club was renamed and relocated to Callao. Tacna
Tacna was known for its mining industry; it had significant deposits of sodium nitrate and other resources. Its economic prosperity attracted a wave of immigrants from Italy. Today, their Italian Peruvian descendants live in the city and many of them still have Italian surnames. This era of successful commerce and agriculture ended drastically with the start of the War of the Pacific. Hosting a large Peru-Bolivian army under poor sanitary conditions the city lost a substantial part of its population to infectious diseases before its capture by Chile in May 1880 following a Battle of Tacna, defeat of the allied army in the outskirts of the city by a Chilean force under General Manuel Baquedano.
