Mariposa County High School is a public high school located in Mariposa, CA. The school is part of the Mariposa County Unified School District. History Founded in 1914, Mariposa County High School was conceived after an election was held to figure out if the county should have a high school. The election was won with the majority of 666 beating those 608 votes against the school. The school celebrated its 100th birthday in 2014. Mariposa County () is a county in the U.S. state of California. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the population was 17,131. The county seat is Mariposa. It is located in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, north of Fresno, east of Merced, and southeast of Stockton. George Radanovich
George Purdy Radanovich (born June 20, 1955) is an American politician and former U.S. Representative for , serving from 1995 to 2011. The district includes most of northern Fresno, as well as several rural areas northeast of the city. He did not seek reelection in 2010. He is a member of the Republican Party.
