Bruno Marioni
Bruno Marioni Giménez (born 15 June 1975, in Paraná) is a retired Argentine striker who preferred to attack from the sides. He is currently the manager of Liga de Expansión MX team Venados. Career Marioni made his debut under the last name Giménez for Newell's Old Boys in 1995 before moving to Estudiantes in 1997. After 2 seasons in Argentina, Marioni went to Portugal joining Sporting in 1998. In 1999, his father met his paternal grandfather, Luigi Marioni, for the first time. Shortly after, both him and Bruno adopted the elderly man's last name. After a single season in Portugal, he returned to Argentina to play for Independiente. In 2000, he again played in Europe for Villarreal CF, but shortly after he returned to Independiente for the Torneo Clausura 2001. Dante Marioni
Dante Marioni (born March 3, 1964 in Mill Valley, California) is an American glass artist. Biography Dante Marioni grew up among many artistic influences. His father, Paul Marioni, was involved in the American studio glass movement and, as a result, Dante was constantly exposed to the glassblowing artists of the San Francisco Bay Area. His uncles are artists, Tom Marioni and Joseph Marioni. In 1979, the Marioni family moved to Seattle and Dante began to study glassblowing at The Glass Eye. He spent summers at the Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington where his father taught. After graduating from high school, he started to pursue glassblowing as a career; working full-time at The Glass Eye. Marioni learned the art of glassblowing from masters like Lino Tagliapietra, Benjamin Moore, and Richard Marquis. He has taught in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe. Paul Marioni
Paul Marioni (b. 1941 Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American artist who works in the medium of glass. Biography Marioni graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1967 with a degree in philosophy. He became a filmmaker, then started working with glass when he became interested in light, reflection, refraction, and expression. One of the founders of the studio-glass movement, Marioni is a Fellow of the American Craft Council and has received three fellowships from the National Endowment of the Arts. He has taught at Penland School of Crafts and Pilchuck Glass School (1974-1988). He has two children, Marina and Dante, both of whom are artists. Marina is a jewelry maker and Dante is a glassblower. John Marioni
John Marioni is a Senior Vice President and Head of Computation at Genentech Research and Early Development (gRED) in South San Francisco. Previously he was the Head of Research at the European Bioinformatics Institute and held an appointment at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute in Cambridge University. He is a computational biologist known for his research on statistical and computational methods for the analysis of genomics data, in particular single-cell biology and evolutionary genomics. The European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) is an Intergovernmental Organization (IGO) which, as part of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) family, focuses on research and services in bioinformatics.
