Marion Junior/Senior High School is a high school in Marion, Wisconsin, that serves students in grades 7 through 12. It has an enrollment of approximately 200 students. The school colors are blue and gold and the mascot is a Mustang. Marion School District The school district comprises territory along the boundary of Shawano and Waupaca counties, and includes the communities of Caroline, Leopolis, and the Town of Pella. At one time, Caroline had its own elementary school, however, because of low enrollment it was sold to the local American Legion group. Students from Caroline have attended Marion's elementary school since the early 1980s. Although Marion has had several high school and elementary buildings in its history, the main building has usually been on School Street in downtown Marion. Samuel Thomas Dekker (born May 6, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the London Lions of the British Basketball League (BBL) and the EuroCup. Dekker played college basketball for the Wisconsin Badgers. After finishing college on a championship game run in the 2015 NCAA Tournament, Dekker was selected by the Houston Rockets with the 18th overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft. Kenneth Douglas Frailing (January 19, 1948 – August 26, 2022) was an American professional baseball player, a left-handed pitcher who appeared in 116 Major League games for the Chicago White Sox (1972–1973) and Chicago Cubs (1974–1976). Drafted by the White Sox in the fifth round of the 1966 Major League Baseball draft after graduating from Marion High School, the , Frailing spent seven seasons in the ChiSox farm system before his recall in the closing weeks of the 1972 season. Richard A. Bennett (born April 20, 1943) is an American former college basketball coach who is best known for building the Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball program into a mid-major power and revitalizing the Wisconsin Badgers basketball program.
