Mario Sačer
Mario Sačer (born 17 November 1990 in Varaždin) is a Croatian football striker who plays for Draskovec after spending several seasons at NK Varaždin. Career Sačer started playing football at 6 years of age for his hometown club Drava Sveti Đurđ, moving soon to Podravina in nearby Ludbreg and finally joining the youth ranks of Varteks in 2000. He came into the spotlight playing for the Varteks U-19 team, when he was named the best player and scorer of the Prva HNL Academy for the 2008–2009 season, amassing an impressive tally of 32 goals and 14 assists in 30 games, 11 goals more than the runners-up Andrej Kramarić and Valentino Stepčić. He made his first team debut for Varteks in May 2009, entering for the last 8 minutes in the game versus Osijek. 2011–12 NK Varaždin Season
The 2011–12 season was the 80th season in NK Varaždin (1931–2015) history and their twenty-first in the Prva HNL. Their 11th-place finish in the 2010–11 season means it was their 21st successive season playing in the Prva HNL. This was a season of highs and lows for the club. A year earlier, in mid-2010, the club had lost its sponsor of 52 years, the Varteks clothing factory, and had changed its name from NK Varteks to NK Varaždin. The loss of their main sponsor severely impacted the club's finances. Offsetting this was their success in the first two Qualifying Rounds of the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League, being knocked out by one goal, on aggregate, in the Third Qualifying Round, played in August 2011. Andrej Kramarić
Andrej Kramarić (; born 19 June 1991) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays as a forward or attacking midfielder for Bundesliga club 1899 Hoffenheim and the Croatia national team. Kramarić started his football career in his hometown club Dinamo Zagreb and holds the record as the top youth goalscorer in the club's history. Hailed as one of the club's biggest talents, he made his first official appearance for Dinamo at the age of 17. Ludbreg
Ludbreg is a town in Croatia, located halfway between Varaždin and Koprivnica near the river Drava. It has 3,603 inhabitants, and a total of 8,478 in the entire municipality (census 2011). History For centuries Ludbreg has been a popular place of pilgrimage. In 1320 the city was mentioned for the first time as ''Castrum Ludbreg'', when owned by Hungarian noble Nicholas Ludbregi. The name of the town comes probably from a crusader named ''Lobring'', who founded the settlement. The renovated ''Castle of Batthyány'' is home to a well-known restoration workshop.
