Torrejón de Ardoz () is a municipality of Spain belonging to the Community of Madrid. The European Union Satellite Centre (SatCen), an agency of the European Union, is located in Torrejón de Ardoz. UEFA Futsal Euro 2016
The 2016 UEFA Futsal Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Futsal Euro 2016, was the 10th edition of the UEFA Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organised by UEFA for the men's national teams of Europe. It was hosted for the first time in Serbia, following a decision of the UEFA Executive Committee on 20 March 2012. Serbia was chosen ahead of other bids from Bulgaria and Macedonia. The final tournament was contested from 2 to 13 February 2016 by twelve teams, eleven of which joined the hosts Serbia after overcoming a qualifying tournament. The matches were played in the Belgrade Arena in the city of Belgrade. The UEFA European Futsal Championship is the main futsal competition of the men's national futsal teams governed by UEFA (the Union of European Football Associations). History The first tournament was held in Spain in 1996 and featured only six teams. The tournament was expanded to eight teams in 1999 and held every two years, and further to 12 teams in 2010. After 2018, the tournament was expanded to 16 teams and held every four years, to avoid leap years when the FIFA Futsal World Cup is being played. 2014 Copa De España De Futsal
The 2014 Copa de España de Fútbol Sala was the 25th staging of the Copa de España de Fútbol Sala. It took place in Logroño, La Rioja between 13 and 16 March. The matches were played at Palacio de los Deportes de La Rioja for up to 4,500 seats. The tournament was hosted by La Rioja regional government, Logroño municipality and LNFS. This was the second time that Logroño hosted Copa de España after the 2012 edition. FC Barcelona Intersport was the defending champion, but lost to Inter Movistar in semifinal. Inter Movistar eventually won its eighth Copa de España trophy after winning against ElPozo Murcia 4–3 in the final.
