Mario R. García (born February 15, 1947, in Placetas, Las Villas, Cuba) is a Cuban-American newspaper and magazine designer and media consultant. He arrived from Cuba to the United States on Feb. 28, 1962, as one of the so-called Pedro Pans (14000 refugee children who arrived in the US soon after the Castro Revolution). He is senior adviser on news design/adjunct professor at Columbia University, School of Journalism. He was named the Hearst Digital Media Professional-in-Residence for 2013–14 there. Mario García Menocal
Aurelio Mario Gabriel Francisco García Menocal y Deop (December 17, 1866 – September 7, 1941) was the 3rd President of Cuba, serving from 1913 to 1921. His term as president saw Cuba's participation in World War I. Youth Born in Jagüey Grande, Matanzas, Cuba, García Menocal was thirteen when he was sent to boarding schools in the United States, first at the Chappaqua Mountain Institute in New York, and later at the Maryland Agricultural College. In 1884, he then went to Cornell University where he graduated in 1888 from the School of Engineering. While at Cornell University, he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity (Delta Chi Chapter). As a young man he was involved in Cuba's fight for independence from Spain. Mario García Valdez
Mario Garcia-Valdez is the Director of the National College of Technical Education (CONALEP) in the State of San Luis Potosi. During 2012-15, he served as Mayor of the City of San Luis Potosí San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Previously, he served as President of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí ( UASLP) from 2004 to 2012. A lawyer, Mr. García has been a faculty member of UASLP since 1987. At UASLP he has served in various positions including Admissions Director, Vice President for Student Services, Legal Advisor to the Rector, and Secretary General of the University. Mario Alberto García Covalles (born 1 June 1967) is a Mexican former footballer and football manager. He is the manager of Atlético Morelia in the Liga de Expansión MX. Club career García Covalles played as a midfielder for Atlante during his whole career, from 1989 to 1997. Managerial career García Covalles started his managerial career as an assistant to José Guadalupe Cruz during his coaching stay with the Atlante from 2004 to 2008. Mario García Sáiz (born 21 March 1999) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a left back for UM Escobedo. Club career García was born in Santander, Cantabria, and represented Racing de Santander and Girona FC as a youth. He made his senior debut with Girona FC B (which was at the time the C-team) on 27 May 2018, playing the last 15 minutes of a 1–0 Segona Catalana home win against UE Marca de L'Ham.
