Mario Fontanella (born 28 June 1989) is an Italian footballer who plays as a forward for Al-Muharraq in the Bahraini Premier League. Club career Italy Born and raised in Naples, Mario began his professional footballing career in 2008 with Barletta-based A.S.D. Barletta 1922 making five appearances in the 2008–09 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. He then moved to Serie D side Pol. Viribus Unitis where he scored four goals in 14 appearances for his side in the remaining of the 2008–09 Serie D season. He then moved to Mugnano di Napoli where he signed a two-year contract with Neapolis. He scored 16 goals in 32 appearances in the 2009–10 Serie D helping his side earn promotion to the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. In the 2010–11 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione season, the Italian striker failed to score any goal in 15 appearances. The Maltese Premier League consisted of three rounds, for a total of 33 matches per team, with the first two rounds played between 21 August 2015 and 14 February 2016, and the third and final round played from 20 February to 30 April 2016. Lija ( mt, Ħal Lija) is a small village in the Central Region of Malta. It forms part of the Three villages of Malta, along with Attard and Balzan. Lija has a baroque parish church and seven other small chapels. The parish church is dedicated to Our Saviour. Lija became a parish in 1594, after the small community detached itself from the neighbouring town, Birkirkara. It has a population of 3,162 as of 2021. Culture Lija is mostly known for its fireworks displays that attract thousands of locals and tourists during the festa period held in the first week of August. These displays are very well renowned and claimed to be the best around the island. The Lija fireworks team also won an international fireworks competition held in Monaco back in 1980. The FA Trophy, currently known as the IZIBET FA Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is an annual football cup competition that takes place in Malta. The cup was founded in 1933; following a match between England and Italy, played in Rome in May 1933, to where a number of pro-British Maltese supporters travelled to support the English side. The Football Association as recognition donated a silver trophy to be played on the model of the FA Cup. The team who wins the cup, wins a place in the First qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. This competition is now played on a knock-out basis between all the senior clubs in the Maltese and Gozitan football pyramids. Qormi ( mt, Ħal Qormi ; pronounced in the Qormi dialect), also known by its title Città Pinto, is a city in the Southern Region of Malta, southwest of Valletta in the centre of the island. Mosta ( mt, Il-Mosta) is a small but densely populated city in the Northern Region of Malta. The most prominent building in Mosta is the Rotunda, a large basilica built by its parishioners' volunteer labour. It features the world's 3rd largest unsupported dome, and displays a replica of a German bombshell that famously crashed through the dome but did not detonate upon impact. The 2014–15 Serie D was the sixty-seventh edition of the top level Italian non-professional football championship. It represented the fourth tier in the Italian football league system. It consisted of 167 teams, including the admitted Arzachena, Rieti and by repechage Biancoscudati Padova, Robur Siena and Sondrio, divided into six 18-team divisions, two 20-team divisions and a 19-team division. Promotions The nine division winners are automatically promoted to Lega Pro.
