Mario Alicata
Mario Alicata (8 May 1918, Reggio Calabria - 6 December 1966, Rome) was an Italian Partisan, literary critic and politician. Biography Early life Son of the Sicilians Antonino Alicata and Luigina Fazio-Allmayer, he was born at Reggio Calabria, where his father was head of the civil engineers. From 1925 he studied at Palermo and then from 1933 in the Liceo classico Torquato Tasso in Rome, where his family had relocated after his father was appointed Inspector of the Ministry of Public Works. With Bruno Zevi, Paolo Alatri, Carlo Cassola and other schoolmates, he founded the ''Circolo giovanile di cultura moderna'' (Youth Group for Modern Culture). Chamber Of Deputies (Italy)
The Chamber of Deputies ( it, Camera dei deputati) is the lower house of the bicameral Italian Parliament (the other being the Senate of the Republic). The two houses together form a perfect bicameral system, meaning they perform identical functions, but do so separately. The Chamber of Deputies has 400 seats, of which 392 will be elected from Italian constituencies, and 8 from Italian citizens living abroad. Giuseppe Bottai
Giuseppe Bottai (3 September 1895 – 9 January 1959) was an Italian journalist, and member of the National Fascist Party of Benito Mussolini. Early life Born in Rome, Giuseppe was son of Luigi, a wine dealer with republican sympathies, and Elena Cortesia. He graduated at '' Liceo Torquato Tasso'' and attended the Sapienza University of Rome until the 1915, when Italy declared war to the Central Powers. The same year, he left his studies to enlist himself in the Italian Royal Army. Wounded in battle, he obtained a Medal of Military Valor after World War I. In 1919, Bottai met Benito Mussolini during a Futurist meeting and contributed to establish the ''Fasci Italiani di Combattimento'' ("Italian Fasces of Combat"). In 1921, Bottai ended his studies at law faculty and became a freemason, member of the '' Gran Loggia d'Italia''. ''Il Piccolo'' is the main daily newspaper of Trieste, Italy. Its name derives from the paper's original ''small'' format. History and profile ''Il Piccolo'' was founded by Teodoro Mayer in 1881. He was also the owner and editor-in-chief of the paper. Mayer and other people who were instrumental in the establishment of the paper were right-wing pro-Italians. Mayer supported the idea that Trieste was part of Italy. One of its contributors was Carolina Luzzatto who was a supporter of this view. Lucio Lombardo Radice
Lucio Lombardo-Radice (Catania, 10 July 1916; Brussels, 21 November 1982) was an Italian mathematician. A student of Gaetano Scorza, Lombardo-Radice contributed to finite geometry and geometric combinatorics together with Guido Zappa and Beniamino Segre, and wrote important works concerning the Non-Desarguesian plane. He was also a leading member of the Italian Communist Party and a member of its central committee. Lombardo-Radice's parents were Giuseppe Lombardo Radice and Gemma Harasim. is a character created by Japanese video game designer Shigeru Miyamoto. He is the title character of the ''Mario'' franchise and the mascot of Japanese video game company Nintendo.
