Marijke Abels
Marijke Abels (born July 30, 1948) is a Dutch visual artist and instructor. Life and work Abels was born in Deventer. She creates sculptures of bronze, paper, and photographs. Her work follows the theme of "the complex relationship between humans and animals." She studied at the ''Vrije Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten'' in Nunspeet, Netherlands, where she received formal training in the art of sculpture. Abels was asked to contribute to an exhibition in Heerde in honor of the discovery of Venus Venus is the second planet from the Sun. Deventer
Deventer (; Sallands: ) is a city and municipality in the Salland historical region of the province of Overijssel, Netherlands. In 2020, Deventer had a population of 100,913. The city is largely situated on the east bank of the river IJssel, but it also has a small part of its territory on the west bank. In 2005 the municipality of Bathmen (with a population of about 5,000 people) was merged with Deventer as part of a national effort to reduce bureaucracy in the country. Deventer is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. The place is already mentioned in 9th-century sources of the Diocese of Utrecht. Nunspeet
Nunspeet () is a municipality and town in the central Netherlands. It has been an agricultural site since prehistoric times. The municipality contains a number of villages, namely Hulshorst, Elspeet, and Vierhouten. Nunspeet has a vivid historical foundation, called Nuwenspete. In 1972 Nunspeet became a separate municipality after having been part of Ermelo before. Recreation Nunspeet is a popular tourist area because it is surrounded by woods, holiday resorts and the former sea. Nunspeet has a town center which is located around the main market square. Nunspeet is situated on the shore of the Veluwemeer (''Veluwe lake)'' which makes it popular for water leisure. Venus (), , is a Roman goddess, whose functions encompass love, beauty, desire, sex, fertility, prosperity, and victory. A carousel or carrousel (mainly North American English), merry-go-round (international), roundabout (British English), or hurdy-gurdy (an old term in Australian English, in SA) is a type of amusement ride consisting of a rotating circular platform with seats for riders.
