Maribyrnong Park Football Club is an Australian rules football club located 7 km north of Melbourne in the suburb of Moonee Ponds . The club was formed in 1980 from an amalgamation of Riverside Stars and Moonee Imperials football clubs who shared the same clubroom and played on adjacent ovals at Maribyrnong Park.The first (captain) coach was Russell Parker, who originally played at Montmorency Football Club for many years. 2006–2018 In 2008, Maribyrnong Park made their much anticipated return to A Grade. Essendon District Football League
The Essendon District Football League (EDFL) is a professional Australian rules football league competition based in Essendon, Victoria, consisting of teams based in the north-west suburbs of Melbourne. Founded in 1930, the men's competition consists of three leagues: Premier Division, Division 1 and Division 2, with 10 clubs in the Premier Division and Division 1 nine in Division 2. Promotion and relegation between these divisions occurs, with the lowest-placed clubs in the Premier Division and Division 1 being relegated at the end of each season. Clubs which win the Division 1 and Division 2 premierships are automatically promoted. Each men's team also fields a reserves side and an under-19 side that play a fixture mirroring that of the senior side. The Greenvale Football Club is an Australian rules football club 23 km north-west of Melbourne in the suburb of Greenvale, Victoria, Greenvale. The club was founded in 1990 as a junior club by Les Norris. By 2005, the club was fielding fifteen teams in the Essendon District Football League.
