Marianne Theresa Herbert (born 2 December 1981) is an Irish former cricketer who played as a right-arm medium bowler. Malahide
Malahide ( ; ) is an affluent coastal settlement in Fingal, County Dublin, Ireland, situated north of Dublin city. It has a village centre surrounded by suburban housing estates, with a population of over 17,000. Malahide Castle dates from the 12th century and is surrounded by a large park, part of which incorporates an international cricket ground. The area also features a sandy beach, a marina, and a variety of sporting clubs. The 2005 Women's Cricket World Cup was the eighth Women's Cricket World Cup, held in South Africa from 22 March to 10 April 2005. It was the first edition of the tournament to be hosted by South Africa. The World Cup was the final tournament organised by the International Women's Cricket Council before it was merged with the International Cricket Council. Australia won the tournament, their fifth title, beating India in the final. 2015 Women's Super 3s
The 2015 Women's Super 3s was the inaugural Women's Super 3s competition that took place in Ireland. It ran from May to August, with 3 teams taking part made up of the best players in Ireland, with the aim of bridging the gap between club cricket and international cricket. The teams played 8 matches each, four 50 over matches and four Twenty20s. Scorchers were the inaugural winners of the competition, with five wins from their eight matches. Competition format The three teams played eight matches each in a league system. Each team played the other two sides twice in a 50 over match and twice in a Twenty20 match, with all matches contributing to a unified table. The Ireland women's cricket team represents Ireland in international women's cricket. Cricket in Ireland is governed by Cricket Ireland and organised on an All-Ireland basis, meaning the Irish women's team represents both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Ireland made its One-Day International (ODI) debut in 1987, against Australia, and the following year played at the 1988 World Cup, making the first of five appearances at the tournament.
