Asian Football Confederation
The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. It has 47 member countries most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in Oceania Football Confederation, OFC, joined AFC in 2006. Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, both Territories of the United States, territories of the United States, are also AFC members that are geographically in Oceania. The Asian Ladies Football Confederation (ALFC) was the section of AFC who managed women's association football in Asia. 2008 Northern Mariana Championship
The 2008 Northern Mariana Championship was the third season of top-flight football in Northern Marianas Islands. The league was divided into two parts, the Winter League and the Fall League. Sunjoon Tenorio
Sunjoon Tenorio (born 20 May 2001) is a Northern Mariana Islander international footballer who plays for Eleven Tiger and the Northern Mariana Islands national team. College career Tenorio began playing college soccer in the United States for Suffolk University in 2019. In his first season, he scored ten goals in fifteen appearances. He was the team's highest scorer in addition to being named MVP and receiving several rookie honors. The following season he transferred to Warner Pacific University and began playing for the Knights. Club career As a youth, Tenorio had played for the academy of MP United since at least 2011. That year the club had an undefeated season en route to winning the U12 division title. For the 2015 under-15 youth season, he scored the late game-winning goal off of a header for a 1–0 victory over Tan Holdings. Joe Wang Miller
Joe Wang Miller (Chinese: 王喆; born 3 February 1989) is a footballer who primarily plays as a forward for Tan Holdings. Born in China, he represents the Northern Mariana Islands national team. Club career MP United Miller was part of MP United's 2009 and 2010 squads. Saipan-based MP finished 2nd in the league in 2009, with Miller winning the top goalscorer award after scoring 23 goals in the season. The following season MP went one better and won the championship, remaining unbeaten in the process. Joe was the league's top scorer again, with 15 goals. Miller has an incredible record at club level, having averaged 1.46 goals per game over the two seasons he has played for MP United. Miller also scored a hat-trick in a 2nd round 2010 KASA Cup match against Wild Bill's Independents, which MP United won 5-0.
