Mariam El-Masri
Mariam El-Masri (born 20 June 1991) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder. Born in Canada, she represents Guyana internationally. Early and personal life She was born in Scarborough, Ontario to a Tunisian father and a Guyanese mother. She played youth soccer with Wexford SC in Scarborough. Her older brother Sherif is also a footballer who represented Canada U23 internationally. She is an alumnus of Agincourt Collegiate Institute, in Scarborough, Ontario. In 2011, she attended Centennial College and played for the women's team. Playing career She won the 2012 Ontario Women Soccer League with GS (Gursikh Sabha) United before signing on with Boldklubben 1921 in Denmark. El-Masri made Guyana's first-ever goal in the CONCACAF Women's Championship in 2010, then Guyana's first-ever goal in the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship in 2016. 2018 CFU Women's Challenge Series
The 2018 CFU Women's Challenge Series was a football competition in the Caribbean region, held amongst the women's national teams whose football associations are affiliated with the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), a sub-confederation of CONCACAF. The competition was announced by the CFU in March 2018. It is the third women's competition organized by the CFU, after the 2000 CFU Women's Caribbean Cup and the 2014 CFU Women's Caribbean Cup. It is played in April 2018 across five venues, and serves as preparation for the CONCACAF Championship and World Cup qualifiers starting in May. Unlike the two previous CFU Women's Caribbean Cup tournaments, there is no final round and thus no overall champion. 2016 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship
The 2016 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship was the 4th edition of the CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament, the quadrennial international football tournament organized by CONCACAF to determine which women's national teams from the North, Central American and Caribbean region qualify for the Olympic football tournament. CONCACAF announced on 12 August 2015 that the United States would host the tournament between 10–21 February 2016 in Houston and Frisco, Texas. A total of eight teams played in the tournament. The top two teams of the tournament qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics women's football tournament in Brazil as the CONCACAF representatives. The United States won the tournament with a 2–0 final win over Canada. Both teams qualified for the Olympics, their sixth and third in a row respectively. The Ato Boldon Stadium is an athletics and football stadium located in Balmain, Couva, Trinidad and Tobago. It is currently the home ground of Central and Club Sando.
