Mariah Bell
Mariah Cheyenne Bell (born April 18, 1996) is an American former figure skater. She is the 2022 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, 2022 U.S. national champion, 2020 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, 2020 U.S. national silver medalist, and two-time U.S. Figure Skating Championships, U.S. national bronze medalist (2017 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, 2017, 2019 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, 2019). She is also the 2020 Skate America gold medalist, 2016 Skate America silver medalist, the 2019 Internationaux de France bronze medalist, the 2019 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist, the 2019 CS Nebelhorn Trophy champion, and the 2016 CS U.S. International Figure Skating Classic, 2016 CS U.S. International Classic silver medalist. The International Skating Union organizes six annual Championships for figure skating. It is at the discretion of each member country which skaters, pairs or synchronized skating teams are sent to which championship. 2020 Skate America
The 2020 Guaranteed Rate Skate America was the first event in the 2020–21 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 23–24. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a large number of modifications were made to the Grand Prix structure. The competitors consisted only of skaters from the home country, skaters already training in the host nation, and skaters assigned to that event for geographic reasons. On September 25, 2020, U.S. Figure Skating announced that Skate America would be held without spectators present, in line with Nevada Gaming Control Board guidelines regarding the pandemic.
