Maria Marshall
Maria Marshall is an English/Swiss artist (born 1966, India). In the late 1990s, she became known for her video work, working mostly with children. Her recent works include "''Thought",'' an alter ego character who can infiltrate the mind and replace thoughts. Based on meditation, this is a multimedia work which includes video, photography, painting and sculpture. Biography Maria Marshall was born in Mumbai, Bombay. Today, she lives and works in Berlin. A dual Swiss and British citizen, she holds a degree in sculpture from the Wimbledon College of Arts, Wimbledon College of Arts in London. She has also studied at the Chelsea College of Arts in London and the Geneva School of Fine Arts. Work Art The general atmosphere of her films is dreamlike and agonizing. The South London Gallery, founded 1891, is a public-funded gallery of contemporary art in Camberwell, London. Until 1992, it was known as the South London Art Gallery, and nowadays the acronym SLG is often used. Margot Heller became its director in 2001. François Pinault (born 21 August 1936) is a French billionaire businessman, founder of the luxury group Kering and the investment holding company Artémis. Pinault started his business in the timber industry in the early 1960s. Taken public in 1988, his company invested in specialty store chains and changed its name to Pinault-Printemps-Redoute (PPR). Anthony Thomas Podesta (born October 24, 1943) is an American lobbyist best known for founding the Podesta Group. The brother of former White House Chief of staff John Podesta, he was formerly one of Washington's most powerful lobbyists and fundraisers. The Bowdoin College Museum of Art is an art museum located in Brunswick, Maine. Included on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum is located in a building on the campus of Bowdoin College designed by the architectural firm McKim, Mead, and White. The Museum’s landmark Walker Art Building was commissioned for the College by Harriet and Sophia Walker in honor of their uncle, a Boston businessman who had supported the creation of the first small art gallery at Bowdoin in the mid-nineteenth century.
