Maria Anna Adamberger
Maria Anna/Anna Marie "Nanny" Adamberger (23 October 1752 – 5 November 1807), born Jaquet, was an Austrian actress. She was played ''ingénue'' roles in comedies and originated the role of Madame Vogelsang in ''Der Schauspieldirektor'' ("The Impresario") by Mozart. Career Adamberger received her training from her father, actor Karl J. Jacquet (1726–1813). She started playing in the ''Theater nächst der Burg'' ("Theatre Next to the Castle") in 1760, at the age of 8, and became a member of the company in 1768, aged 16. After playing some tragic roles and not being satisfied with the success she achieved in them, she decided to only perform in comedies. She became known known as an excellent ''ingénue'' playing the roles of naïve or lively and whimsical young women in comedies and achieved considerable success and fame. ''Posse mit Gesang'' ("farce with singing", plural: Possen) is a form of popular German-language music drama, that developed in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Early examples are sometimes called 'Possenspil' or 'Possenspiel'. It is also sometimes referred to simply as 'Posse' (farce). Associated with Vienna, and also Berlin and Hamburg, the Posse mit Gesang was similar to the Singspiel, but generally had more action and less music than the more operatic form. Heinrich Joseph Von Collin
Heinrich Joseph von Collin (1771–1811), Austrian dramatist, was born in Vienna, on 26 December 1771. He received a legal education and entered the Austrian ministry of finance where he found speedy promotion. In 1805 and in 1809, when Austria was under the heel of Napoleon, Collin was entrusted with important political missions. In 1803 he was, together with other members of his family, ennobled, and in 1809 made ''Hofrat''. He died on 28 July 1811 in Vienna.
