Margot Van Geffen
Margot van Geffen (born 23 November 1989) is a Dutch field hockey player. She took up field hockey aged six and since 2011 is a member of the Dutch national team. She won the 2014 World Cup and a gold and a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 Olympics, respectively. Tilburg
Tilburg () is a city and municipality in the Netherlands, in the southern province of North Brabant. The 2015 Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship was the 12th edition of the women's field hockey championship organised by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 22 to 30 August 2015 in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, England. The Order of Orange-Nassau ( nl, Orde van Oranje-Nassau, links=no) is a civil and military Dutch order of chivalry founded on 4 April 1892 by the queen regent, Emma of the Netherlands. Field Hockey
Field hockey is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with ten outfield players and a goalkeeper. Teams must drive a round hockey ball by hitting it with a hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal. The match is won by the team that scores the most goals. Matches are played on grass, watered turf, artificial turf, synthetic field, or indoor boarded surface. The stick is made of wood, carbon fibre, fibreglass, or a combination of carbon fibre and fibreglass in different quantities. The stick has two sides; one rounded and one flat; only the flat face of the stick is allowed to progress the ball. During play, goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with any part of their body. A player's hand is considered part of the stick if holding the stick. The 2014 Women's Hockey Champions Trophy was the 21st edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy for women. It was held from 29 November to 7 December 2014 in Mendoza, Argentina. The 2012 Women's Hockey Champions Trophy was the 20th edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy for women. It was held from 28 January to 5 February 2012 in Rosario, Argentina. This was the last annual edition of the tournament until 2014 when it returned to its original biennial format due to the introduction of the World League. Argentina won the tournament for the fifth time after defeating Great Britain 1–0 in the final. The Netherlands won the third place match by defeating Germany 5–4.
