Luis Sandrini
Luis Sandrini (22 February 1905 – 5 July 1980) was a prolific Argentine comic film actor and film producer. Widely considered one of the most respected and most acclaimed Argentine comedians by the public and critics. He has made over 80 appearances in film between 1933 and 1980. Early life He was born in the neighborhood of Caballito and was the son of Genovese immigrants. His father was a theatrical actor, and Luis began to work in a circus next to his parents, like clown. In the 1930s he entered the theatrical company of Enrique Muiño and Elías Isaac Alippi, where he met his first wife, the actress Chela Cordero. Santiago Gómez Cousillas (September 26, 1903 in Montevideo, Uruguay – March 24, 1984 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) was a classic Uruguayan - Argentine actor who appeared in films between 1936 and 1980. Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Cou moved to Buenos Aires to pursue a career as a screen actor. He appeared in his first film in 1936. Olinda Bozán
Olinda Bozán (21 June 1894 – 8 February 1977) was an Argentine film actress and comedian of the Golden Age of Argentine Cinema (1940–1960). Born into a circus family, she acted on the vaudeville circuit, and performed in silent and sound movies. She was trained by the Podestá brothers, one of whom she married, who have one of the most prestigious Argentine acting awards named for them. Bozán' appeared in 75 films and was considered one of the best comic actors of Argentine cinema in the 20th century. Lolita Torres
Lolita Torres (born Beatriz Mariana Torres; 26 March 1930 – 14 September 2002) was an Argentine film actress and singer (contralto). She began her career at age 11, performing folk songs in a theater in Buenos Aires. In 1944 she began acting in films, eventually appearing in seventeen films during "Argentine cinema's 'golden years.'" She was so popular in the Soviet Union, that many newborn girls were named 'Lolita' after her tour there in 1963. In 2002 she was honored as "Ciudadano Ilustre de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires" ("Illustrious Citizen of the City of Buenos Aires"). The Plaza Lolita Torres in her birthplace of Avellaneda is named for her. Hector Quintanilla Jr. (May 7, 1923 – May 18, 1998) was a United States Air Force (USAF) Lieutenant Colonel, best known as the last chief officer of Project Blue Book, the USAF's official unidentified flying object investigative arm. Biography Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico in 1923, Quintanilla immigrated to the United States at age six with his parents and three brothers in 1929. He and his family crossed the Gateway to the Americas International Bridge in Laredo, Texas. His family made their home in west side San Antonio, around the Laredo and Martin street neighborhoods; the family could only afford a $1.25 a week shack with a dirt floor. Hector and his brothers did not mind, because they mostly wore their shoes on Sundays to go to church.
