Margate, Queensland
Margate is a coastal suburb on the Redcliffe Peninsula, and, along with neighbouring coastal suburbs on the Redcliffe Peninsula, is a popular recreational destination for the South East Queensland. Margate was formerly part of the City of Redcliffe, although in 2008 became part of the amalgamated Moreton Bay Regional Council, Queensland, Australia. In the , Margate had a population of 7,405 people. History Humpybong Provisional School opened on 1 February 1876 in a site on Elizabeth Avenue near Duffield Road. In 1878 a new school building was erected close to the original site. Redcliffe is a town and suburb in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. Moreton Island
Moreton Island (Mulgumpin) is an island on the eastern side of Moreton Bay on the coast of South East Queensland, Australia. The Coral Sea lies on the east coast of the island. Moreton Island lies northeast of the Queensland capital, Brisbane. 95% of the island is contained within a national park and a popular destination for day trippers, four wheel driving, camping, recreational angling and whale watching and a 75-minute ferry ride from Brisbane. Clontarf Beach State High School
Clontarf Beach State High School (CBSHS), opened 1964, is a co-educational, public high school based in Clontarf in Queensland, Australia. Clontarf State Primary School is located not far from it. The current principal is Jo House. The school's enrolment in 2008 was approximately 1148. In December 2008 the number was 1240. In 2008 Clontarf High was in the news for being in the most disrepair, however since then money has been spent making the school even safer for students and up grading the classrooms. Sandgate Baptist Church
Sandgate Baptist Church is a heritage-listed former church at 6-8 Flinders Parade, Sandgate, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Richard Gailey and built in 1887 by William Street. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 November 2003. History The former Sandgate Baptist Church is the second Baptist church in Sandgate and opened on Christmas Day 1887. Baptists first arrived in Queensland in 1851 and were established in Brisbane by 1855. A church was constructed for them in Wharf Street, Brisbane in early 1859, soon after the arrival of Reverend B G Wilson.
