Margarita Romo

	Margarita Romo Margarita Romo is an activist for immigrant farmworkers in Florida. She was inducted into the Florida Civil Rights Hall of Fame in 2013. Bio Romo was born in Texas on October 18, 1936. Her parents were both farmworkers, and Romo was one of eight children in the family. When Romo was three, her mother died from cancer, and Romo was placed into an orphanage with three of her siblings. She left school by the time she reached 9th grade, and began teaching at convent. 	Florida Civil Rights Hall Of Fame The Florida Civil Rights Hall of Fame honors people who have worked on behalf of civil rights in Florida.
