Margarete Maria Pioresan (born 1 January 1956), commonly known as Meg, is a former Football in Brazil, Brazilian footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper for the Brazil women's national football team. She represented Brazil at the FIFA Women's World Cup in 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup, 1991 and 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup, 1995 and played in the Football at the 1996 Summer Olympics#Women, 1996 Olympics at the age of 40. Earlier in her sporting career Meg had played for the Brazil women's national handball team, winning a bronze medal at the Handball at the 1987 Pan American Games, 1987 Pan American Games. Beach soccer, also known as beach football, sand football or beasal, is a variant of association football played on a beach or some form of sand. Whilst football has been played informally on beaches, the introduction of ''beach soccer'' was an attempt to codify rules for the game. Homare Sawa
is a Japanese former professional footballer who played as a forward or a midfielder. Regarded by many as one of the greatest female footballers of all time and the greatest Asian female footballer of all time, Sawa had a professional club career spanning 24 seasons, mostly with Nippon TV Beleza and INAC Kobe Leonessa. She also spent 22 years with the Japan national team, most notably captaining them to a FIFA Women's World Cup win in 2011 and an Olympic silver medal finish in 2012.
