Margaret Staib
Air Vice Marshal Margaret Mary Staib, (born 20 December 1962) is a former Chief Executive Officer of Airservices Australia and a former senior officer in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). Early life Margaret Staib was born in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, on 20 December 1962. She was educated at Merici College, joined the RAAF in 1981 as an Officer Cadet and completed a Bachelor of Business at the University of Southern Queensland in 1983.VCDF Group Biography of the Joint Logistics Commander Service history Staib was initially posted to RAAF Darwin as the Assistant Facilities Officer. Rear Admiral Bruce Kafer, (born 1959) is a senior Royal Australian Navy officer and former Commandant of the Australian Defence Force Academy, a position he held from December 2009 until December 2013. Kafer served as the Director-General of the Australian Navy Cadets and Reserves from December 2014 to December 2016, when he was appointed Head of the Cadet, Reserve and Employer Support Division. __NOTOC__ The Defence Force Service Medal (DFSM) is an Australian Military award given for long service by permanent members of the Australian Defence Force. It is part of the suite of defence force service awards introduced in 1982, which also included the Reserve Force Decoration (RFD, for officers of the Australian Defence Force Reserves) and the Reserve Force Medal (RFM, for non-commissioned members of the Reserve forces). All three medals were replaced with effect 20 April 1999 with a single medal, the Defence Long Service Medal, which is now awarded to all permanent and reserve members irrespective of rank. Additional service clasps are issued for each further 5 years after the initial 15 year qualifying service period.
