Margaret Lee (Singaporean Actress)
Margaret Lee Mui Lin (; born 24 May 1970) is a former Singaporean actress. Lee was a Mediacorp full-time artiste from 1990 to 2000 and from 2003 to 2009. Career Lee entered the entertainment industry after placing second to Chew Chor Meng in the Star Search Competition held in year 1990. Lee first appeared in an episode of the Singapore comedy serial ''Modern Romance'' as a vampish model. In 1992, she played a kind and caring nurse in ''Breaking Point'', alongside critically acclaimed stars Li Nanxing and Huang Biren. Lee then left the entertainment industry for 3 years before returning to local TV in 2003. Her most notable role was in the drama Holland V, where she played as an irresponsible mother who leaves her daughter in the care of the Mo family. She has also starred in a number of local movies, such as ''The Best Bet'' (2004) and '' I Do, I Do'' (2005) which were directed by Jack Neo. Tracy Lee (, born Lee Mei Leng on 19 June 1985) is a Malaysian former actress and television host based in Singapore. She began work as a full-time actress at Mediacorp in 2008, following success as a contestant on Star Search 2007. In 2016, she retired from the entertainment industry, after her decision not to renew her contract with MediaCorp. Career Tracy Lee was a contestant on Star Search 2007, reaching the semi-final of the talent search competition. Her appearance on the program earned Lee contract with MediaCorp in 2008 and began her acting career on the TV series '' The Thin Line''. Following this the actress was cast in multiple roles including the police procedural drama ''C.L.I.F.,'' alongside her former Star Search 2007 co-star (and season winner) Andie Chen. CHIJ Saint Joseph's Convent is a government-aided Catholic girls' secondary school in Sengkang, Singapore. The school is one of 11 Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ) schools in Singapore. History The school was founded in 1938, as a private school in a rented house at 15 Flower Road, Singapore 549404. Initially there were 21 pupils and three staff – comprising one nun from the Order of the Holy Infant Jesus and two teachers. Prior to World War II, the enrolment rose to 79 students. After the war, the school reopened in 1945 in a bungalow lent to the school by a neighbour. Jack Neo (born 24 January 1960) is a Singaporean actor, television host, comedian and film director. He was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1983 to 2003. In the 1990s and early 2000s, he was best known for his cross-dressing roles, as Liang Po Po (literally: Granny Liang) and Liang Xi Mei (a woman homemaker in her 40s) in the long-running television comedy show ''Comedy Nite''. The film stars Richard Low, Mark Lee, Christopher Lee, Chen Liping and Joanne Peh. Released in cinemas on 9 June 2004, ''The Best Bet'' earned over S$2.5 million. The film was nominated for Best Original Film Song at the 2004 Golden Horse Awards. The film portrays the lives, struggles and adventures of three friends who are addicted to gambling. They place a joint 4D bet; when they win, one is tempted to keep all the winnings to himself. This satirical comedy touches on gambling addiction and the consequences of one's actions.
