Marek Výborný
Marek Výborný (born 10 July 1976) is a Czech politician, who has been serving as the Czech Minister of Agriculture in Petr Fiala's Cabinet since June 2023 and the leader of KDU-ČSL since October 2024. He was also the leader of KDU-ČSL between 2019 and 2020. Výborný resigned on the post on 19 November 2019 after his wife died and he became a single parent for his three children. He left the position on 25 January 2020. Personal life Výborný studied history and theology at Palacký University in Olomouc. Then in 2001 he started at Gymnázium, Pardubice, Mozartova 449, teaching history, basics of social sciences and Latin. From 1 August 2012 until 31 March 2018 he was director of the Mozart Grammar School. KDU-ČSL (In Czech language, Czech, the initials of the Christian and Democratic Union – Czechoslovak People's Party; ), often shortened to ("the populars"), is a Christian democracy, Christian democratic list of political parties in the Czech Republic, political party in the Czech Republic, led by Marek Výborný. Jiří Čunek
Jiří Čunek (born 22 February 1959) is a Czech politician who was the leader of the Christian and Democratic Union - Czechoslovak People's Party from December 2006 to May 2009. Čunek was also deputy prime minister and the minister for Regional Development in Mirek Topolánek's Second Cabinet until 23 January 2009. Since 2006, Čuněk has been senator from Vsetín and since 2 November 2016 he has been the governor of Zlín Region. Čunek was born in Gottwaldov (now Zlín), and after studying at a technical college, he worked as a car technician for a construction company in Zlín and as a safety technician in Zbrojovka Vsetín from 1982 to 1998. In 1990, Čunek became a member of KDU-ČSL. He was elected to the municipal council of Vsetín in 1994 and became mayor of the town in 1998.
