Marek Nikl
Marek Nikl (born 20 February 1976) is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a centre back, most notably for 1. FC Nürnberg. He made five appearances for the Czech Republic national team. Career Nikl spent most of his early footballing years with Prague-based club Bohemians – with a short spell at Sparta Krc in the 1994–95 season – before joining then newly promoted Bundesliga side 1. FC Nürnberg in November 1998 for the remainder of the 1998–99 season. He played in all 22 games after his arrival in Franconia but could not prevent the side going down despite scoring his first goal for the ''Club'' in the final game of the season. This game saw Nürnberg dropping from a secure 12th spot going into the match to being relegated on scored goals as 16th of the league at the end of the match. Nymburk
Nymburk (; german: Nimburg, Neuenburg an der Elbe) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 15,000 inhabitants. It is situated on the Elbe River. The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga. The competition was founded in 1935, then called the '' Tschammer-Pokal''. The first titleholders were 1. FC Nürnberg. In 1937, Schalke 04 were the first team to win the double. Hans Meyer (born 3 November 1942) is a German former professional football player and manager. Managerial career East Germany (1971–1987) Meyer was born in Briesen near Bilin, German Empire, today Bílina, Czech Republic. He was manager of Carl Zeiss Jena from 1 July 1971 to 23 October 1983.
