Marek Chlup
Marek Chlup (born January 9, 1999) is a Czech professional baseball outfielder in the Yomiuri Giants organization. He has previously played for the Lake Country DockHounds of the American Association of Professional Baseball. He also represents the Czech Republic national baseball team, Czech Republic national team. Playing career College Chlup committed to the North Carolina State University for college baseball, playing his freshman and sophomore seasons with the NC State Wolfpack baseball, Wolfpack. He transferred to North Greenville University for his junior season, the year the team won the NCAA Division II baseball tournament, NCAA Division II national championship in 2022. In their 2022 championship season, Chlup hit .390 with 12 home runs and 75 RBIs for the North Greenville Crusaders, Crusaders. He was named the Conference Carolinas Player of the Year for 2022. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field).
