Mardi Cinéma
Mardi Cinéma is a French television show and game show devoted to cinema, created and presented by Pierre Tchernia and Jacques Rouland. Premise After the screening of the film of the first part of the evening, Pierre Tchernia and Jacques Rouland receive live from the Théâtre de l'Empire, then from the Cognac-Jay studios, two actors and offer reports and trailers. During the show, two teams of people, would answer questions relating to the film, with the help of the guests of the show. Revival The show was revived with Laurent Ruquier Laurent Hugues Emmanuel Ruquier (; born 24 February 1963) is a French television presenter, radio host and comedian. He is also a lyricist, writer, columnist and impresario; he has been co-owner and general manager of Théâtre Antoine-Simone Be ... presenting the show in 2016. Jacques Rouland
Jacques Rouland (13 November 1929 – 14 June 2002) was a French radio and television broadcaster. Biography In 1964 created and presented the hidden camera show La Caméra invisible where he made practical jokes on unsuspecting members of the public. the show ended in 1970. After the show ended Rouland created another popular French television show called Mardi Cinéma. Jacques Rouland died on June 14, following a cancer a battle with cancer. Pierre Tchernia
Pierre Tcherniakowski (29 January 1928 – 8 October 2016), better known as Pierre Tchernia, was a French cinema and television producer, screenwriter, presenter, animator and actor. In France he was known as ''"Magic" Tchernia'' and ''Monsieur Cinema''. Early life Born in Paris as Pierre Tcherniakowski, he was the youngest of four children. His father, a Ukrainian immigrant, was an engineer and his mother a seamstress. He grew up in Courbevoie. In 1940, at age 12, he saw John Ford's Western ''Stagecoach'' and was inspired to work in cinema. After graduation, he enrolled in a film and photography technical school, and then joined the Institute for Advanced Cinematographic Studies. Career He was part of the creation of the first televised news in France in 1949 and was an early French news presenter. Laurent Hugues Emmanuel Ruquier (; born 24 February 1963) is a French television presenter, radio host and comedian. He is also a lyricist, writer, columnist and impresario; he has been co-owner and general manager of Théâtre Antoine-Simone Berriau in Paris since 2011. He is best known for hosting the ''On n'est pas couché'' show on France 2 every Saturday evening from 2006 to 2020.
