Marcos Vinicius Amaral Alves (born 17 June 1994), known as Marcão, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a striker for China Super League club Wuhan Three Towns. Club career Early life Born in Tietê of São Paulo, he joined São Paulo FC youth team at the age of 12. However, Marcão, who was not interested in football, quit the sport after six months and turned to basketball. At the age of 17, he joined the Ituano FC Open Test and started playing football again. Gyeongnam FC Marcão joined Gyeongnam FC on one-year loan on 20 December 2016. He eventually made a full transfer to Gyeongnam on a three-year deal on 17 May 2017. He scored 22 goals in the league and helped his team win the K League Challenge on 14 October, and confirmed the promotion to K League 1 the following year. The Chinese Football Association China League (), also known as China League One or Chinese Jia League (中甲联赛), is the second level of professional football in China. Above League One is the Chinese Super League. Prior to the formation of the Chinese Super League, Jia League was known as ''Jia B League''. The then top two levels of Chinese football league were known as ''Jia A League'' and ''Jia B League'' respectively. The K League 2 (Hangul: K리그2) is the men's second-highest division of the South Korean football league system. It is contested between thirteen professional clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the K League 1. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D) is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on April 9, 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions.
