Marcus Reeves (born 3 February 1979, Clapham, London) is a London-based writer and performer. Biography Marcus Reeves is best known as the creator of '' Postcards from God – The Sister Wendy Musical''. In an interview by Paul Burston in '' Time Out'' magazine in December 2010, he stated that he was working on his debut solo album, the title of which was later confirmed as '' Quicksilver - The Masquerade Macabre''. 5 November 2012 saw the release of his debut single "Black Tears" through iTunes. The song received favourable four star reviews from blog Music Review Unsigned and gay website Polari, who drew comparisons to singers Scott Walker, Annie Lennox and Marc Almond. Clapham () is a suburb in south west London, England, lying mostly within the London Borough of Lambeth, but with some areas (most notably Clapham Common) extending into the neighbouring London Borough of Wandsworth. History Early history The present day Clapham High Street is on the route of a Roman road. The road is recorded on a Roman monumental stone found nearby. Quicksilver - The Masquerade Macabre
''Quicksilver – The Masquerade Macabre'' is the debut solo album by Marcus Reeves released on 5 November 2013. The thirteen tracks were written by Reeves, who also co-produced with his musical collaborator Michael Roulston ( Dusty Limits, David Hoyle, Sarah-Louise Young, Harold Sanditen). The album was mixed and mastered by Nick Trepka ( Emmy The Great, Speech Debelle, Kieran Leonard, Boy George). The album is written from the point of view of Reeves' alter-ego, ''Quicksilver'': "The album has a loose storyline that takes in the themes of identity, love and death. Songs like ''Behind The Mask'' and ''Welcome to the Underworld'' were written specifically with Quicksilver in mind. The actor created the character from the outside in, but it has then taken over and written the script." BeLonG To is an LGBT youth organisation in Ireland which caters for young people aged between 14–23 years. It is a registered charity and is supported by the Irish Department of Education. The Leicester Square Theatre is a 400-seat theatre in Leicester Place, immediately north of Leicester Square, in the City of Westminster, London. It was previously known as Notre Dame Hall, Cavern in the Town and The Venue. Saucy Jack And The Space Vixens
''Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens'' is a cult science fiction musical reminiscent of ''The Rocky Horror Show''. The 2006 West End run starred Faye Tozer and was choreographed by Bruno Tonioli. The cast interact with the audience as if the audience were patrons of the club in which the musical is set. Story The story revolves around a cabaret club called "Saucy Jack's", at which the performers become the victims of a serial killer as they try to leave to better themselves elsewhere. Step in the Space Vixens in their role as investigators and upholders of the oath. As well as Rocky Horror there are clearly influences of Barbarella as the Vixens' interrogation device the Vibratron appears to be similar to the Orgasmatron of that movie and the Vixens' characters more than a little like Jane Fonda's character in that movie.
