Marcus Knight
Marcus Larae Knight (born June 19, 1978) is an American football coach and former wide receiver who is currently the wide receivers coach at Ball State Cardinals football, Ball State University. He played college football at Michigan Wolverines football, Michigan and professionally as a wide receiver and kick returner for the Oakland Raiders of the NFL and wide receiver and defensive back for the Philadelphia Soul and Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League. Marcus Knight retired from playing in 2008 and was hired by Valparaiso University as the wide receivers coach. Knight's nephew, Zelous Wheeler, is a professional baseball player. Sylacauga, Alabama
Sylacauga is a city in Talladega County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 12,578. Sylacauga is known for its fine white marble bedrock. This was discovered shortly after settlers moved into the area and has been quarried ever since. The marble industry was the first recorded industry in the Sylacauga area. Sylacauga is the site of the first documented case of an object from outer space hitting a person. On November 30, 1954, a piece of what became known as the Hodges Fragment from the Sylacauga Meteorite crashed through the roof of an Oak Grove house, bounced off a radio, and badly bruised Ann Hodges, who was taking an afternoon nap. Zelous Wheeler
Zelous Lamar Wheeler (born January 16, 1987) is an American former professional baseball third baseman and right fielder. He previously played in NPB for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles and Yomiuri Giants and in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees. Wheeler played baseball at Childersburg High School and Wallace State Community College. The Milwaukee Brewers selected him in the 19th round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft. He was added to the Brewers' 40-man roster after the 2011 season, but was waived before the 2012 season began. Claimed by the Baltimore Orioles, he played in their farm system in 2012 and 2013, before signing as a free agent with the New York Yankees before the 2014 season. The Arena Football League (AFL) was a professional arena football league in the United States. It was founded in 1986, but played its first official games in the 1987 season, making it the third longest-running professional football league in North America after the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Football League (NFL) until the AFL closed in 2019.
