Marcus Harrison
Marcus Harrison (born July 10, 1984) is a former American football defensive tackle. He was selected by the Chicago Bears in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft after playing college football at Arkansas. Early life Harrison played high school football at Mills High School in Little Rock. After a successful career as an Arkansas Razorback, Harrison stepped up for the Chicago Bears and had a productive rookie season, rotating in and playing extensively alongside Tommie Harris. Professional career On September 4, 2011, Harrison was claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers. However, he failed his physical and was placed back on waivers. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Phillip Adams (American Football)
Phillip Matthew Adams (July 20, 1988 – April 8, 2021) was an American football cornerback. He played college football for the South Carolina State Bulldogs and was drafted in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He also played for the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, and Atlanta Falcons. On April 8, 2021, suffering from the brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy, Adams shot and killed himself following a standoff with police in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Tommie Harris, Jr. (born April 29, 1983) is a former American football defensive tackle who played eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Oklahoma, and was recognized as a consensus All-American twice. The Chicago Bears chose him in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft, and he also played a season for the San Diego Chargers. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection.
