Marcos Santana
Marcos Santana (born 1965) is an entrepreneur, producer and media creative, former president of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises’ Telemundo Global Studios and Telemundo Internacional. In his role as president of Telemundo Global Studios, Santana was in charge of Telemundo Studios, Telemundo International Studios and Telemundo Streaming Studios, the divisions responsible for Telemundo's scripted production both domestically and internationally. As president of Telemundo Internacional, Santana led international content distribution efforts for the Mexican region, oversaw international distribution efforts and identified coproduction and partnership opportunities for the development of Telemundo content. HBO Latin America was a company that owned and distributed several television channels in the region of Latin America. It was originally founded as a joint venture between WarnerMedia, Time Warner and Ole Distribution, Ole Communications in 1991 with the launch of HBO in the region. The HBO Brasil, HBO Brazilian channel was launched in 1994. In 1990s Sony and The Walt Disney Company, Disney became shareholders and left in 2010.
