Marcos Antonio Diplán Guzmán (born September 18, 1996) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Baltimore Orioles. Career Texas Rangers The Texas Rangers signed Diplan as an international free agent in 2013, receiving a $1.3m signing bonus. He pitched for the Dominican Rangers during the 2014 season, where he had a 7–2 win–loss record, a 1.54 ERA, and 57 strikeouts in innings pitched. Milwaukee Brewers On January 19, 2015, the Rangers traded Diplan, Luis Sardiñas, and Corey Knebel to the Milwaukee Brewers for Yovani Gallardo. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Luis Alexander Sardiñas Avilez (born May 16, 1993) is a Venezuelan professional baseball infielder for the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna of the Mexican League. Sardiñas signed with the Texas Rangers as an amateur free agent in 2009. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut with the Rangers during the 2014 season, and played for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2015, the Seattle Mariners in 2016, the San Diego Padres in 2016 and 2017, and the Baltimore Orioles in 2018. Jordan Horton Lyles (born October 19, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals. Designated for assignment (DFA) is a contractual term used in Major League Baseball (MLB). A player who is designated for assignment is immediately removed from the team's 40-man roster, after which the team must within seven days, return the player to the 40-man roster, place the player on waivers, trade the player, release the player, or outright the player from the 40-man roster into Minor League Baseball. The Biloxi Shuckers are a Minor League Baseball team of the Southern League and the Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brevard County Manatees were a minor league baseball team of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League from 1994 to 2016. They were based in Viera, Florida, and played their home games at Space Coast Stadium.
