Marcos Rodolfo Bisonó Haza is a Dominican businessman and lawyer. Bisonó is currently the President of ''Asociación Dominicana de la Industria del Cigarrillo'' (ASOCIGAR). Early life Marcos Bisonó was born in Santo Domingo, and is the son of architect Victor Bisonó Pichardo, born into a prominent family from Villa Bisonó in the foothills of the Northern Mountain-Range in Santiago Province, and Ivonne Haza, a renowned national soprano from San Pedro de Macorís. Brigadier General Manuel Nemesio Rodríguez Objío (19 December 1838 – 18 April 1871) was a Dominican poet and activist. A martyr of the Six Years' War, he was one of the early contributors to Dominican Republic literature, Dominican literature. He participated in the Dominican War of Independence, in the revolution of 1857 and in the Dominican Restoration War. He founded the newspaper "La Voz del Cibao" in Santiago. He published several poems in the Sociedad Amigos del País Magazine. Fernando Valerio Gil (1806 – 2 November 1863) was an agriculturalist and soldier from the Dominican Republic. He is considered a hero of the battles of Santiago —together with José María Imbert—, and Sabana Larga —together with Juan Luis Franco Bidó—. He was commander in chief of the northern border. General Fernando Valerio Gil was born in 1806 in Sabana Iglesia, in the parish of Santiago. Described as white and blue-eyed, Valerio was born in a family of Spanish ancestry.
