Marco Zwyssig
Marco Zwyssig (born 24 October 1971) is a Swiss former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. He is best remembered for his time at FC St. Gallen and FC Basel. He also played for the Switzerland national football team. Following his retirement from active football Zwyssig works partly independently, partly as a course leader and lecturer in adult education. Football career Gossau Zwyssig played his youth football with FC St. Gallen coming through the ranks up to their U-21 team. In 1992, as he started studying business economics, he left the club and joined local amateur club FC Gossau in the third tier of Swiss football. Here he played as centre back directly behind player-coach Roger Hegi. They were champions of group 4 and, after the play-offs, accieved promotion at the end of the 1992–93 season. In the sport of association football, a defender is an outfield position whose primary role is to stop attacks during the game and prevent the opposition from scoring. 2001–02 FC Tirol Innsbruck Season
During the 2001–02 season, FC Tirol Innsbruck played in the Austrian Football Bundesliga, the highest tier of the Austrian football league system. Season summary Tirol Innsbruck won their third successive league title. However, the club's financial obligations, including an annual wage bill of €10 million, ultimately saw the collapse of the club at the end of the season. The club were unable to post a €4.5 million bond with the league, resulting in the loss of their license to play in the Bundesliga. With debts totaling €16 million, the club went bankrupt. A successor club, FC Wacker Tirol, was formed, and merged with third-tier club Wattens to avoid starting in the bottom tier. 2002–03 UEFA Champions League First Group Stage
The 2002–03 UEFA Champions League first group stage matches took place between 17 September and 13 November 2002. The draw for the group stage was made on 29 August 2002 in Monaco. The group stage featured the 16 automatic qualifiers and the 16 winners of the third qualifying round. Each team was drawn into one of eight groups but avoided teams from their own country. All four teams in the group played home and away matches against each other to determine the winner and runner-up in the group. At the completion of the group stage, the top two teams in each group advanced to play in a second group stage, while the third-placed teams dropped down to the UEFA Cup. MŠK Žilina () is a Slovak football club based in the town of Žilina, that is playing in the Slovak Superliga.
