Marco Spoletini
Marco Spoletini (born 13 April 1964) is an Italian film editor. Born in Rome, Spoletini graduated from the Istituto di Stato per la Cinematografia Roberto Rossellini, then he enrolled at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, where he studied film editing under Roberto Perpignani. He is well known for his association with Matteo Garrone, with whom he worked since his first short film. In 2003 Spoletini won the Silver Ribbon and the Ciak d'oro for his work in the films '' The Embalmer'' and ''Maximum Velocity (V-Max)''. In 2009 he won the David di Donatello The David di Donatello Awards, named after Donatello's ''David'', a symbolic statue of the Italian Renaissance, are film awards given out each year by the ''Accademia del Cinema Italiano'' (The Academy of Italian Cinema). Centro Sperimentale Di Cinematografia
The Centro sperimentale di cinematografia (Experimental Film Centre or Italian National film school) was established in 1935 in Italy and aims to promote the art and technique of cinematography and film. The centre is the oldest film school in Western Europe, founded in the city of Rome in 1935 during the Benito Mussolini era by his head of cinema Luigi Freddi. Gomorrah (film)
''Gomorrah'' ( it, Gomorra) is a 2008 Italian crime film directed by Matteo Garrone, based on the non-fiction book of the same name by Roberto Saviano, who also collaborated in the screenplay. It deals with the Casalesi clan, a crime syndicate within the Camorra — a traditional criminal organization based in Naples and Caserta, in the southern Italian region of Campania. The film was released in Italy on 16 May 2008, and premiered in North America at the Toronto International Film Festival on 11 September 2008, followed by release in New York City and Los Angeles on 13 February 2009. Roberto Perpignani (born 20 April 1941) is an Italian film editor. Biography He started his career in 1962 as assistant editor in Orson Welles' ''The Trial''. His first credit as film editor is for Bernardo Bertolucci's '' Prima della rivoluzione''. He won three David di Donatello for Best Editing, in 1983 for Paolo e Vittorio Taviani's ''The Night of the Shooting Stars'', in 1995 for Michael Radford's ''Il Postino'' and in 1997 for Roberto Faenza's '' Marianna Ucria''.
