Marco Pacione
Marco Pacione (born 27 July 1963, in Pescara) is a retired Italian professional football player who played as a forward. Career Throughout his career, Pacione played for several Italian clubs. He began his career in Serie B with Atalanta in 1982, where he also later made his breakthrough, helping the club to Serie A promotion and the Serie B title in 1984, due to his prolific performances, which saw him score 15 goals, and finish the season as the top scorer in the league; as a result he earned the nickname "Paciogol", for his ability to score decisive goals for his team. He made his Serie A debut the following season, scoring 5 goals. Pescara
Pescara (; nap, label= Abruzzese, Pescàrë; nap, label= Pescarese, Piscàrë) is the capital city of the Province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is the most populated city in Abruzzo, with 119,217 (2018) residents (and approximately 350,000 including the surrounding metropolitan area). Aldo Serena (; born 25 June 1960) is an Italian former professional footballer, who was usually deployed as a forward. He played for several Italian clubs throughout his career, winning four Serie A titles, among other trophies; he is mainly remembered for his time with Inter, where he won several trophies, including a league title and the UEFA Cup. At international level, he represented the Italy national team in the 1986 FIFA World Cup and the 1990 FIFA World Cup, helping the team to a third-place finish in the latter tournament. 1993–94 Serie A
The 1993–94 Serie A was won by Milan, being the 14th title for the ''rossoneri'' and their third in succession, complemented by glory in the UEFA Champions League. It was a disappointing season in the league for Internazionale, whose 13th-place finish saw them avoid relegation by a single point, but they compensated for this by winning the UEFA Cup. During the 1991–92 Serie A, under the guidance of Fabio Capello, Milan completed a remarkable unbeaten season, a run that eventually totalled 58 games. They finished eight points ahead of Serie A runners-up Juventus. However, it was a disappointing season for Internazionale, who could only manage an eighth-place finish, meaning that 1992–93 would bring no European action for them — something which had been a rare occurrence over the last three decades. Defending champions Sampdoria finished sixth and their last chance of European action for the following season was lost when they were beaten by the Spanish champions Barcelona in the final of the European Cup. 1990–91 Serie A
The 1990-91 season saw Sampdoria win the Serie A title for the first time in their history, finishing five points ahead of second placed Milan. Third placed Internazionale were victorious in the UEFA Cup, with ninth-placed Roma compensating for their sub-standard league season with glory in the Coppa Italia, while Juventus's seventh-placed finish meant that they would be without European action for the first season in three decades. Lecce, Pisa, Cesena and Bologna were all relegated. A notable record was set on 9 December 1990 in a Serie A fixture, when Bologna player Giuseppe Lorenzo was sent off after just 10 seconds for striking an opponent in the match against Parma. Season summary The summer of 1987 brought several notable players into the Italian championship: Vincenzo Scifo (for Internazionale), Ian Rush (Juventus), Ruud Gullit and Marco van Basten (Milan). The reigning champions Napoli started well leading the league after five matches. Inter and Juventus had several issues. Napoli retained top-place in autumn and winter, suffering only one defeat in the first 20 games. In March Napoli began to struggle, and ultimately only won 2 of the 10 remaining fixtures. Milan who had been in second place for much of the season were able to reduce the points deficit with a prolonged undefeated run. 1985–86 European Cup
The 1985–86 European Cup was the 31st season of UEFA's premier club football tournament, the European Cup. The European Champion Clubs' Cup was won by Steaua București on penalties in the final against Barcelona. Steaua București became the first Eastern Bloc side to win the tournament.
