Marco Antonio Mainardi
Andrea Mainardi, also known as ''il Chiaveghino'', (active 1590–1613) was an Italian painter of the late-Renaissance period, active in Cremona. Mainardi and his nephew Marcantonio, were pupils of Bernardino Campi in Cremona. He painted the main altarpiece depicting ''Christ healing the Blind'' for the church of San Facio. He opened a school or studio with Giovanni Battista Trotti in Cremona. Bernardino Campi
Bernadino Campi (1522–1591) was a Renaissance painter from Cremona, who worked in Reggio Emilia. He is known as one of the teachers of Sofonisba Anguissola and of Giovanni Battista Trotti (il Malosso). In Cremona, his extended family owned the main artistic studios. Giulio Campi and Antonio Campi, half-brothers, were distant relatives of Bernardino; the latter is generally considered the most talented of the family. All were active and prominent painters locally. Influences on Bernardino include local Cremonese such as Camillo Boccaccino and artists from neighbouring regions such as Correggio, Parmigianino and Giulio Romano. He made a number of sets of copies of the '' Eleven Caesars'' by Titian, then in the Gonzaga collection, adding one of Domitian, which he based on a work by Giulio Romano. San Facio, Cremona
San Facio, also commonly called the Chiesa del Foppone, is a late Baroque architecture, Roman Catholic, now deconsecrated church in Cremona, region of Lombardy, Italy. The church was completed in 1781, to officiate the burials in the surrounding ossuary of those dying in the adjacent hospital (Ospedale Maggiore e Ospedale Vecchio) of Cremona. It was called ''Foppone'' because of it operational similarity to the '' Nuovi Sepolcri'' (1695) in Milan. The surrounding large cemetery crypts in the portico formed part of an 18th-century urge to provide, systematize, and formalize the burials for the indigent. From the courtyard, the architecture seems dour except for the domes of the church. Giovanni Battista Trotti
Giovanni Battista Trotti (1555 – 11 June 1612) was an Italian painter of the late-Renaissance period, active mainly in Piacenza, Parma, and his native city of Cremona. In Cremona, he was initially a pupil of Bernardino Campi, whose niece he married. He painted in the ''Palazzo dei Giardino'' in Parma. He painted a ''Crucifixion'' in the Cremona Cathedral; while in San Pietro, he painted a ''Santa Maria Egiziaca'' ( St. Mary of Egypt). He painted the ''Beheading of John the Baptist'' for San Domenico at Cremona, and in San Francesco and Sant'Agostino at Piacenza. He was employed by the court of Parma, along with Agostino Carracci; and Agostino found Trotti disagreeable on which account he acquired the name of ''II Malosso'' (bad bone). Carlo Natali, also known as ''il Guardolino'', (circa 1592- 1683) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active in Cremona and Bologna Biography Carlo was initially a pupil of the Mannerist painters Andrea Mainardi and Giovanni Battista Trotti in Cremona.
