Marcin of Wrocimowice ( pl, Marcin z Wrocimowic, ; died 1442) was a Polish knight and diplomat from the Półkozic clan. He served as Starosta (prefect) of Łowicz and as Standard-Bearer of the Territory of Kraków. In the latter capacity, he carried the banner of the Territory of Kraków – which was, at the same time, the Banner of the Kingdom of Poland – under which a unit consisting of Poland's elite knights, including such chivalrous celebrities as Zawisza the Black, went to the Battle of Grunwald (Tannenberg) on 15 July 1410. Marcin of Urzędów ( pl, Marcin z Urzędowa, ; ca. 1500–1573) was a Polish Roman Catholic priest, physician, pharmacist and botanist known especially for his ''Herbarz polski'' ("Polish Herbal"). Marcin, son of Szymon, was born ca. 1500-1502 in Urzędów, Lublin Voivodeship, Poland. From 1517 to 1525, he studied at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. After graduation, he stayed at the university as a lecturer in physics, mathematics, logic and philosophy. Marcin Rożek (8 November 1885 – 19 May 1944) was a Polish sculptor and painter and co-founder and professor at the School of Decorative Arts in Poznań.
