Marcelo Toscano
Marcelo Aparecido Toscano (born 12 May 1985) is a Brazilian footballer who plays for Paysandu. Mainly a striker, he can also play as a winger. Club career Born in Areado, Minas Gerais, Toscano was a São Vicente youth graduate. Initially a forward, he was converted to a right back during his time at Paulista, mainly due to the lack of goals. Back as a striker at Paraná, Toscano scored ten goals in 2009 Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, being the club's top goalscorer. On 20 August 2010 he moved abroad for the first time in his career, after agreeing to a four-year deal with Primeira Liga side Vitória de Guimarães. is a professional association football club based in Ōmiya in Saitama, Japan. Its "hometown" as designated by the league is the whole of Saitama city, which is shared with neighbours Urawa Red Diamonds. Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries. In 2009, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, the second level of the Brazilian League, was contested by 20 clubs from May 8 to November 29, 2009. Top four teams in the table would eventually qualify to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A to be contested in 2010, meanwhile the bottom four would be relegated to Série C next season. Three former Brazilian champions played in this edition. Vasco da Gama was relegated for the first time in history, meanwhile Bahia and Guarani came back from Série C in 2007 and 2008, respectively.
